I recently bought the AXOLOTL 5x20x14 cm Natural Slate Cave for my axolotl tank, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The quality is excellent — it’s made from real slate, securely sealed with a fish-safe coating, and feels very solid and durable. I love that it’s completely inert, so it doesn’t affect the water chemistry at all.
The design looks great in the aquarium too — very natural and blends perfectly with the rest of my setup. My axolotl started using it almost immediately as a hiding spot, which is a great sign that it makes him feel safe
